House rules

Play space

• The play space is free to use during opening hours; tables are reserved for events from 30 minutes before each start.
• Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, except at Sunday Learn to play.
• Drinks with a lid only at the tables; no hot food upstairs.
• Trading between players is welcome, but trades with anyone under 16 need a parent present.
• Dogs are welcome downstairs in the shop, not in the play space.

Kiln Commander (Tuesday Commander night)

Kiln Commander is our house version of Commander. The official Commander rules apply, with these changes:

• Starting life total is 30, not 40.
• The first player to be eliminated chooses the next pod's seating order.
• Infinite combos are allowed only if the deck's owner announces them before the game.
• Proxies: up to 10 per deck, clearly marked, for cards worth more than £10 at our list price.

Kiln Commander ban list

In addition to the official Commander ban list, these cards are banned on Tuesday nights:

• Rhystic Study
• Smothering Tithe
• Cyclonic Rift
• Armageddon and any other card that destroys all lands
• Thassa's Oracle

Sol Ring is allowed. The ban list is reviewed every January; the next review is on Tuesday 12 January 2027.

Conduct

Our code of conduct applies at every event; a warning comes first, a second incident means leaving the event without refund. Report issues to any member of staff wearing a green lanyard.
